Load Your SUV Properly to Avoid Mishaps

One of the reasons you bought an SUV is the ease it offers for doing daily errands and loading cargo into the back of the vehicle. When you're going on a road trip, or when you're hauling a number of heavy items such as home renovation materials, the way you pack your SUV can make a big difference.

First off, know the maximum capacity of your vehicle for hauling items. You'll find this information in your vehicle's owner's manual. Putting too much weigh in your SUV can damage various part of the vehicle.

Make sure that you don't load items too high inside. You need to be able to see outside your vehicle via the rearview mirror. Another important consideration is securing lightweight items that could roll around. Use ties and netting to secure lightweight items so they don't fly all over the place when you hit bumps.
